Seeing thieves get caught gives me hope that others will realize that, eventually, the law will catch up to them. In a California “ Cash Advance store, two men used counterfeit checks. The next day, police caught up to them. “Waterloo police arrested two California men after they allegedly tried to cash counterfeit checks using fake identification cards. Police were called to Cash Advance, 908 La Porte Road, on Tuesday for a complaint about checks that were passed a day earlier. [[ads]] The checks claimed to be on an account for Labor Ready for $580 each, but the account numbers and signatures weren’t legitimate, according to court records. While officers were investigating the case, they received a report that two people were trying to cash suspicious Labor Ready checks at Hometown Cash Advantage, 323 Franklin St. Police detained Eulalio Torres, 36, of Azusa, and Edwin Hernandez, 23, of Los Angeles, and found they had Iowa drivers licenses identifying them as Victor Lazo and Edwin Ortiz” (http://www.wcfcourier.com/news/local/article_b7dbdd94-06a9-11df-875d-001cc4c002e0.html). I’ll bet that is the last time they try to pull that stunt!
